    Alarm Clock not working

    Hi everyone

Does your phone need to be ON during the night in order for the alarm clock to work?
I have ensured that Mon - Fri are highlighted and to repeat weekly. If set the sound to medium and I have snooze on.
The alarm clock has failed to go off twice now in the morning. However if i set it to go off in 2 minutes time during the day whilst the phone is ON it works.
Any ideas are very very welcome.

    Kind regards.

Yes, the phone needs to be on for the alarm to go off. Also make sure the alarm volume is at a level thatbwill wake you up

Thank you very much. Does this mean that one could be woken up by other event sounds on the phone during the night?

You can use blocking mode if you aren't on Verizon. Long press it in the pull down menu to select what events you want to hear and what time you want to block

You can do that or turn the ringer and notification sounds off.

Surprisingly I'm having a simular issue. The alarm will go off but will not vibrate will not chime and the screen does not display anything just silence. I set the alarm to go off at a certain time and when it failed I hit the power button to wake it up and low and behold the alarm was going off but silently, how useful is that? Between the Alarm issues and the Notification issues I am seriously thinking of switching to an iPhone this is getting ridiculous.

I don't use the default alarm application, but I find this hard to believe.
I use Alarm Clock Xtreme and I've never seen anything but "on-time" alarms.

My wife and dog would have woke me up before that long. I will try alarm clock Xtreme
