    cut and paste

How do you cut, copy and paste text from within an e-mail msg or copy text from a web page. When replying to an email I need to be able to edit the message I am replying to. Thanks Fred

Long press on the text starts a selection. This is why I always suggest the manual.

I have figured out how to copy and paste one word or select all, but not a sentence or paragraph.

Long press and select what you want to copy - move the scrolling arrows to what you want to be selected

Sometimes just by playing around with the phone, one can pick up all these tricks, lol

You can touch your paragraph to select a word, then drag the first tab to the beginning of the paragraph, and the second tab to the end. A mini menu with copy, cut, paste, etc., should appear for you to select from. you can drag to select multiple paragraphs if desired.

New member here, all fresh to S4. I love it; it slowly replaces my PC on comms!...

I understand and was able to do the "copy" part, but I wanted to "paste" somewhere else, say Memo, and save it there, but I could not figure out the "paste" step because the mini-menu was not available when I opened Menu.

    Thank you.

If you press and hold in a text field, the 'Paste' button should pop up.

Thank you, Beer Goggles! It worked indeed. Although more nimble fingertips wouldn't hurt. Well, I'll just have to practice...
