How can I get rid of misc files?

I am new to the Android platform as I was an iphone guy. I always got the 16GB iphones and there was more than enough space on the phone for my photos, music, apps etc. Now with my S4 which is a 16GB I am getting the message I am almost out of space. I looked into my storage and it shows I have 8 GB of Misc. files (see photos below). Besides the music files which I know I can move to a sd card...which of these files like "Encore" which is taking up over 1GB can I delete to free up the Misc File space?

    Thanks in advance.

Open My Files locate the files you want to delete. Long press the file and delete it.

There is an app in the Play Store called Clean Master that may help. Besides deleting cache it has a residual file cleaner but you should be able to tell on that list what not to delete. There is another app called DiskUsage that should help ID some of the space hogs.

Did it tell you how much it was deleting or did it not work?

I have a 16GB device as well. Brand new from the box it had just over 8GB of storage available. I have watched on YouTube that it is what it is. Its not stock so there's a crap ton of bloatware. I'm very much a noob here so I may not be correct but that is what I got from the channels I'm subscribed to. I just put a 64GB mSD card in and moved anything that will move to there. I even tried to delete the misc files thru the device itself but they wouldn't delete
