    S4 "No SIM Card" Error

For about a week I've been getting a "No SIM Card" Error message several times a day. I power off and on and it works for hours. I've had the phone since it first came out and nothing that I know of has changed. I have been working where there is sketchy cell phone service but that's nothing new.

    Any advice is appreciated?

    Welcome to the forum

I would take it to your provider's store next time it happens and see about getting a new SIM card. They have been known to fail.

    Stewart,

I have the same issue on my S4. I changed the SIM 2 times and reset the phone to factory but no help. I am rebooting my phone every time I get the error and waiting for some help from Samsung too. I am not sure if it mightbe because of memory being full. Next thing I am gonna try 3 times continuously to factory reset to flush memory. I have no other options now. If you got any other answer please let me know.

I've had the same problem. It seems to happen randomly. it stopped for about a month, and now it started again. Anyone found a solution/fix?

My phone worked well for the first month and then started having the same issue.

I've sent it to authorized repair depot and it was returned saying they couldn't replicate the problem. When I got the phone back I only had the issue happen once in six weeks, but now it does it 5+ times per day. Like most of you I have googled the problem and it seems there are a bunch of people having the same issue, but no real resolution for any one.

I have tried to put a small piece of paper on the back of my sim to see if it will press on the contacts a little tighter. I will see how this goes and let you guys know if it works out for me.
