If it's like the S3 tap the pic and then tap the left soft key and you should get a delete option

Uncheck the sync radio to anything you don't want on your phone Under Settings > Accounts for instance Picasa from google+ app, nexxt you need to go to the More tab then go to Application Manager, scroll right to All find gallery and select Clear data. This method will not delete anything from your SD card.

Welcome Miapr23, you can do as Jeffrey suggested or mount the S4 to your PC via usb cable and delete them using your PC.

If you are talking about the Picasa Web albums in the stock gallery, then you can go to the settings in the gallery and select which albums to display.
These pics aren't on your sd card. They are synced to the Web. You just have to tell the gallery you don't want to see them.

First you need to unsync anything you don't want uploaded to the gallery and then go to Settings - Application Manager - All - Gallery - Clear Data/Clear Cache and your unwanted pictures will be gone..
