Switching between open browser windows problem

I have problems switching between open browser windows. I have to hit the number at the top of the screen several times before it lets me switch to another one. Anyone else have that issue.

What browser are you using? Have you tried enabling the motion gesture? You can change windows by waving you hand in front of the device.

Chrome is kind of laggy but I don't have that specific problem. Try clearing cache and data for chrome... If that's what you're using.

Yes, me! Finally found someone with the same problem; can't believe it doesn't happen that often though.

On my device, and in the stock browser, the button to show all the windows stopped working altogether. At one point I had reached the maximum number of open windows, which is 50, apparently.

I've tried force closing the app, switching off the phone etc. Nothing worked.

A few minutes ago I did something that DOES work, but it's a bit annoying:
Settings --> More --> Application Manager --> All --> Internet --> Clear Storage Data & Clear Cache Data. After that I Force Stopped the app.

It worked in the sense that the browser closed, and when I turned it back on, I had only one window instead of 50.
However, the annoying thing is that I've lost all my bookmarks (as I feared, which is why I never tried this option before).

Hope it doesn't happen again, but I'm afraid it will, since it doesn't seem to be a common bug (yet) so might not be fixed with next firmware update.
If you or anyone else finds / knows a way to perform this reset without losing the bookmarks, or a way to easily recover them afterwards, please let me know.

I've been having the same issue since I got the phone. I've tried everything to make it work and nothing helps. It works maybe 1 out of 30 times I try it. It's really a pain and I'm ready to call at&t for a new phone.

I've got the same problem. I don't like Chrome either. I switched to Maxthon browser for now.

it sounds like developer options have been activated. on developer options kill apps you probably check that box. unchecked box and that problem will go away.
