i wouldn't of though so ever but it didn't just work it is the only solution for this problem what have you got to lose if doesn't work all that happens is your device is unlocked free of charge this will only work on I9505 variant Please also note I am reasonable skilled with android and every call dropped within two minutes when it seemed all was lost i tried everything and anything and the only thing that worked was removing sas256 lock then do a full nv rebuild restore recovery as advised in tutorial and hey presto not one call drop since follow the instructions and everything will be okay p.s I wont be responding to anymore sceptical comments here's the solution I promice you that this does work for GT-I9505 Regards

Hi Harish , after struggling for 3 months , I found the solution for 9500 model , and believe me it work really good for me .

Go to setting - > Network - > more network - > select network mode GSM only . actually by default it is - GSM& CDMA both selected , I'm sure you will not get call drop at all ...enjoy ...cheers !

    Hi
I am facing the same issue and i agree with Chauhan. and this seems to be the best solution..
but hey if i am choosing GSM then i wont be able to use 3G for my data usage.. which is pathetic.

Is it that the radio used in Samsung Galaxy S4 is optimized only for 2G networks?

There certainly seems to be something wrong with S4. Just yesterday the phone just heated up for no reason at all while in roaming and using 3G.
I was so pissed. Why did i shift from Note 2 to S4.

    S4 sucks

If you've tried everything in the above posts, it should go back to the carrier/manufacturer for service while it's still under warranty.
