Wipe Data/Factory Reset WITHOUT POWER BUTTON

I've had my Galaxy S4 for about a year now, and for half of that year I lost hope after flashing it and it not booting. I recently restored the stock rom and was able to get into the original restore mode, but now another problem came up - I don't have a power button. After hours of searching up my problem I found a video that said it could be the power button that was causing it to not turn on, so I removed it. Now, I need to select the factory reset button in the system recovery menu but I have no power button to do so, can anyone please give me a possible solution to select the item? I plan on buying a new power button. I understand it was stupid of me to do this in the first place.

If it boots up, why can't you do a reset through: Settings > Accounts > Back Up and Reset > Factory Data Reset > Reset Device > Delete All/Erase Everything?

If you can use adb, the commands are available there.

Also, if "about a year now" means <1 year, it should still be under warranty.

ATP, getting a new power button should be the priority.
How were you able you flash the stock ROM?

So the full update is that my phone won't boot. When I power it on it stays at the Galaxy S4 Samsung logo. Right now, the only way I can turn the phone on is by plugging it into my computer via usb and then holding the down volume key + home to go to the download mode, and then to get into recovery I hit the down volume key (while still in download mode) to reboot the phone. As soon as I choose to reboot the phone I hold the up volume key and the home button and it takes me to recovery. Now I'm stuck without a power button and need a way to wipe data and factory restore to see if I can get this thing working.

Edit: Yes, I was able to flash the stock ROM, Odin recognized the device.

When I go into my Device Manager on my PC it recognizes Samsung Mobile USB Composite Device, and now ADB is recognizing my device but it says the device is not authorized. If this has to do with the phone not having USB debugging enabled I can't enable USB Debugging because I can't get into the phone. This is frustrating!

maybe you need to flash a rom that has usb debug on by default?
Why dont you flash a recovery that has touch control like philz?

Update: I was able to get it working, I can power it on (in a way I'll describe in a second), and the computer recognizes it, lets me move files to it, I can download apps, everything. The only issue is, when it dies, I have to re-flash the stock rom, and do a one click root with odin to the phone for it to power on again and I lose all of my data. I need to know how to fix that (if there's a way)
