PDF files not opening up from email on my Galaxy S4

Hi I am new to Android system, just switched over from Iphone 4S. The problem I'm having is when I recieve an email with a link to a pdf file. When I click on the link a black screen pops up with what looks like a puzzle piece with a sad face in it. Is there a program I need to install? I've already tried Adobe Reader and nothing has changed. Anyone else have this problem?

Have you tried installing Adobe Reader from Google Play? This worked for me

I also found OfficeSuite to be quite useful

yes I did install adobe reader from Google Play and just tried OfficeSuite. No luck so far. I believe it may be a Flash Player deficiency. I'm gonna try that out. Thanks!

Ok I figured it out! Had to install Flash Player through a third party Browser. Youtube Video took me through the steps and it works!!!

did the video you watch tell you to download aptoide? if so, you should uninstall it and download clean master to clean the residual file it left on your phone.

to get adobe go settings, more, security, and check unknown sources (dont forget to uncheck it when you're done)

then go here -> Archived Flash Player versions

and download/install this -> Flash Player 11.1 for Android 4.0 (11.1.115.58). adobe still upates these so check for an update in a month or 2

install firefox from the play store (other browser might work, this is the one i use, and if you already have firefox you need to uninstall it before step installing adobe)

in firefox, hit the menu softkey, settings, and change plugins to enabled.

you can go to wechoosethemoon.org to see if it works in firefox. (or try opening up a .pdf)

then go back to security and uncheck unknown sources.

and if you're downloading alof of stuff from the play store and you're new to android, i would recommend downloading mcafee antivirus and security. once the 14 day trial is up, you can install trustgo or antivirus or something else. i like antivirus security b/c its free, i can schedule daily scans, it scans things as i download, and it tells me if i left unknown sources checked.

edit: i uninstalled adobe and firefox and i can still read pdf's sent to my email address in both the stock and gmail app.
