WiFi connection dropping out when using Bluetooth Speaker. Help!!

    Hello to you all.

I recently bought a Bose Soundlink Colour Bluetooth speaker to link to my Galaxy S4.

I paired them together and started listening to Youtube and was really enjoying it. For about a minute! After this the wifi connection dropped out. I tried it a few times again and it was just the same outcome - after around 60 seconds the wifi connection dropped. The connection to a laptop in the house was also lost.

I was told that changing the wifi router channel could solve this and as i'm not very savvy regarding this kind of thing, a PC guy came round today to take a look. He changed the router channel from 11 to 6, but it didn't really make any difference apart from after around 60 seconds the wifi connection dropped out, in, out, in and them permanently out. However, unlike the previous time, the laptop was totally unaffected, the connection to it remaining perfect so the changing of the router channel solved that.

I then paired an ipad to the speaker and it worked perfectly.

Can anyone please tell me why the wifi connection to the S4 is dropping out when everything else is ok???

    Thankyou for reading!

    Paul.

Trying to use blue tooth on speakers and also use WiFi has been an issue reported here a few times. It seems there is some sort of conflict. BT can be active without a problem but once you start using it for speakers it poops out one or the other. If you were not streaming, using a local file, and turned off the WiFi it would probably work perfectly.

Current versions of Android don't support Flash player, try Puffin or Flashfox as an alternative browser.

    Thankyou for your reply Leeshor.

Have you heard of this happen with any other Samsung Mobiles or Tablets, etc or does it seem to be a problem exclusively to the S4?

I seem to remember the same problem cropping up on another phone or tablet but I can't remember which one. It likely has something to do with the specific WiFi controller used in the S4.

I'm thinking of buying a Galaxy Tab S2 8", do you know if this would be safe?!

Don't fancy buying one and finding out it has the same problem!!
