International Samsung Galaxy S4 Gets KitKat Update

Look what happens... I'm out sick for a day and I come back to a spam-fest of KitKat updates for multiple devices! The international version of the Samsung Galaxy S4 is the next device to report the Android 4.4.2 KitKat update. So far, (as of the original source of this report) the update has only been rolling out to users in Belgium, Greece, Malaysia and Poland. The file size for these folks is between 362 to 424 MB depending on what software they are currently on.

It's possible it is rolling out to other regions as well. Sound off in this thread if you have the update and give us your impressions of it.

I received the update the other night and didn't know what the update was about until I started googling about it. I main reason for googling it was to see what enhancements were added/ fixed, but couldn't find anything pertaining to it.
What I noticed since the update was:
    1. Battery indicator is now white and not green
    2. The Lumen Bar now has a balloon pop up upon opening the bar and has some paired window feature added
    3. When fully charged (still plugged in) a notification icon on the top bar will display that your phone is fully charged.... wow, lol
I am pretty sure there are more things added, but I haven't noticed anything yet. Since the update, it deleted my free mp3 down loader app and also took out my settings shortcut from the home screen for some strange reason.
I haven't noticed anything faster in regards to performance. My WatchOn app seems to be a little buggy since the update because I just used it at work to change the channel on the TV and managed to change the station only once then it wouldn't do anything after that.
Does anyone know a link with detailed info about the Kit Kat update?

    Angry 4.4.2 update UK

Done this update yesterday in the UK. To be honest I haven't really noticed anything to make me say I'm thankful for it. I'm sure something useful has happened somewhere in the background.

Something I did notice was that it has wiped several of my apps off the phone and rearranged the rest of them. Thankfully so far I haven't discovered any paid for apps are missing, however to build a list of what has gone that I have noticed so far:

Sky Sports, Sky News, ITV player, Marvin (Spectrum emulator), ESPN Goals, N64 emulator (who's name I haven't remembered yet), TV Catchup, 4OD, Dropbox, Newsnow, Footy Focus, Sky Wifi, Hotdealsuk but it has reinstalled Googledrive and My Galaxy that I have previously removed.

I have found under "Application Manager" remnants of the deleted apps, of which some of their names tell you what they were so you can download them again but some are abbreviated that I have no idea what they are. I guess an option is to visit Googleplay, view my apps and figure out what else is missing. Time wasted.

This may have happened because I used the phone to move some apps to the SD card. For the record, the phone isn't hacked, so it's very disappointing that Samsung could do such a massive balls up. Fair enough if it was hacked then you do open yourself to all various possibilities of cock up but this is stupid. Even if this was the reason for the apps being wiped I'm sure a Samsung engineer could have written a little bit of code to check the apps whereabouts before wiping them out.

the apps that got deleted were probably not compatible with 4.4
you might need to see if there are compatible versions available
also you should probably do a factory reset after a major update like this.
it will save you from issues and having to do it in the future
