Black screen how do I copy info?????

    Hi,
I'm new here, had a question (well several really) but my biggest problem is my Samsung s4 screen went black. I have ins but before I send it back I need to get info and pics and videos that are sentimental off if unable to see screen??? I want to transfer it to my laptop or better yet is there a way to put it on a memory card so I can plug it into any computer. Although the screens black, it works, I can hear it ... The function key sounds and Just sounds the phone makes when switching screens and such.

ALSO after I get what I want off of it, how do I clear it so no one else can obtain my info or view pics????

SIDE NOTE: I am completely challenged to computer lingo and very tech UN SAVY. Please talk to me like a baby when giving instructions. ( I would say a kid, but bettin most kids know a lot more than I do in this area, even 2nd graders!)

    Thanks,
    Rae

    Welcome to the forum Rae

Had you ever connected the phone to a PC? If so you "may" be able to see it if you connect. If not, and the screen won't work, short of getting the screen replaced you may be sunk. Just an fyi that If my phone broke I won;t have lost much, certainly not any photos. I back up using iDrive once a week but all the photos get synced with the cloud as soon as I connect to WiFi using DropBox. I know that's no help now but it's a good practice never to have everything that has any importance only on the phone.

Current versions of Android don't support Flash player, try Puffin or Flashfox as an alternative browser.
