Galaxy S4 will not transfer music

I just bought a new Galaxy S4 from Bestbuy a couple weeks ago. I have Verizon service if that matters at all. I enabled wifi and sbeam and I can easily send pictures, video and other stuff to my wifes Note II phone and Galaxy S3 phones. I can receive pictures, video and music but I cannot send music to anyone. When I open a music file using the default music app that came on the phone and I bump another phone, I get a beep and a vibration indicating the phones see each other. But I never get the message to tap the screen to send the music file I have playing. I contacted Samsung support. they had me wipe some cache drive, remove the battery and reboot and even do a factory reset - all of which did nothing to fix this problem. I'm wondering if anyone has had this issue or knows of some other way to send music files with sbeam since the default music app doesn't work. I tried it with the Google music app as well. It prompts me to send, but it never sends anything. It just opens the same app on the receiving phone.

    Welcome to the forum

That's stranger than strange. Is there anything different in the source of the music between your S4 and the other 2 devices? Like you got yours a different way. It (almost) sounds like a DRM issue.

I don't think so. I can transfer a music file from the Note II to my S4 and then try to send the same file back to the Note II and it doesn't work. It always beeps at me but never gives me the message to "tap to send".

In that case, forget I said anything. Wish I knew what was going on but I don't.

If anything transfers there is no reason I can see that the music wouldn't

Hmm, strange. I don't have another Galaxy device around me at the moment to check. I will be seeing my ex in a couple days, I can try then...

Nevermind. I just got off the phone with Samsung support. They said it's a known issue that the S4 will not send music files. I guess I'll wait until they fix it.

It doesn't seem to be carrier related. The S4 can receive S-Beam music from the S3 and the Note 2, but the S4 cannot send music files.

It did not transfer any music - I played music on S3 and then tapped S4 - it made a beep sound, but nothing happened. Same thing w/ photo worked seamlessly. Something is wrong w/ the music transfer!!!!!
