    Samsung galaxy s4 amoled crack.

I've done a lot searching around the internet and forums and I wanted to post this info here.

Here are 4 Samsung Galaxy S4s with the same exact issue and with the same exact crack.
The "crack" on all phones are starting right below the front facing camera.
Is this a coincident? I don't think so.
PLEASE POST IMAGES OF YOUR S4!!

    Lightbulb

Why would anyone (in their right mind) put a 5" smartphone in their front pocket?

This is not an S4 "problem", this is user error.

I never said I put the phone in my pocket.
...and no, it's not user error.
Did you not look at the images?

This was my original post on 09/11/2013 Hairline crack?! - Android Forums at AndroidCentral.com

I drove to work this morning (09/11/2013), my phone was fine. I placed my phone on my desk, my phone was fine. I check my phone 5 minutes later and this is what it looked like.

I went to a local ATT repair shop and the guy said the phone had a hairline crack in it, which I didn't notice.

I've never dropped my phone and the hairline crack is UNDER the glass, which is not cracked.

The repair guy said it was from pressure on the screen. I'm not sure what to think.

This is a strange place on the touch screen for this to happen.

    Please help,

    AUHHZUMA

I'm not sure why you are trolling my post but, this is to inform others that there is an issue with the Samsung Galaxy S4.
There are 89 pages of posts on S4 Screen cracked in front jeans pocket! Galaxy S4 is very weak! - xda-developers.
Some of those posts are helpful and some are not.
If you have any information that could help regarding this problem, it would be greatly appropriated.

I'm not sure what help we can offer you. The S3 had an issue with hairline cracks and Samsung replaced them. Have you contacted Samsung?

I have not contacted Samsung directly. I've contacted my wireless provider and they gave me the "this is not covered under AT&T or Samsung warranty" speech.
I'm wasting my time on these forums to collect info. When I actually contact Samsung, I would like to provide them with helpful information. Once they begin with the "speech" I can refer them to any and/or all other
forums to provide some insight into the issue.

There is an old saying "stuff happens". I'm involved with several other forums and screen cracks, (hairline or otherwise), are reported daily on all types of phones and tablets. You will find that this is not unique to the S4 or to Samsung.

One XDA member stated that they got satisfaction by contacting the CEO of Samsung (UK, IIRC) directly.
Another made arrangements through a tier 2 CS Samsung rep.
Gathering anecdotal evidence probably won't get you much.
You can tell them that you know of hundreds of cases, but that carries no weight so far as your request.
You need to make a personal appeal, as you're effectively asking them to make an exception to their policy for you - and just you.
Short of threatening and carrying through with legal action, that's about your best chance of success.
You'd need to prove beyond any reasonable doubt to them that it's a flaw in manufacturing, and that will cost more in time and money than the repair, or even a new phone.

No matter what course you choose, I wish you much luck.
